Arches National Park

Our first full day in Moab we spent in Arches National Park. ALthough I have been here before, some 15 years ago, it is again breathtakingly beautiful. Directly after the entrance to the park, a curvy road leads upwards to the first view points. We hike around some of the rock formations and discover lots of life in what at first appears a dry rocky desert. The red rock and green plants color beautifully against the blue sky.

Park info: Visit Arches and discover a landscape of contrasting colors, landforms and textures unlike any other in the world. The park has over 2,000 natural stone arches, in addition to hundreds of soaring pinnacles, massive fins and giant balanced rocks. This red rock wonderland will amaze you with its formations, refresh you with its trails, and inspire you with its sunsets.
